  • Looking for a decent credit card issuer

Which of the major credit card issuers offers both a 25-day grace period but does not include mandatory binding arbitration? It seems to me the credit card company I went with in 2000 met the criteria, but it was sold to another bank. My assumption is that with a long, steady payment history of paying in full, I should have the same contractual terms and conditions from 2000 if not better.

What is the correct title of the credit card company employee I should use to address correspondence to negotiate the terms and conditions back to year 2000 levels? What do credit card companies offer in 2008 that make their solicitations as worthy and consumer-friendly as they were in 2000? I ask as I opted out of credit card solicitations earlier in the millennium and don't know what I'm missing out on.

You aren't missing out on much. Rules have changed and as long as every change your credit card company made they sent you a slip in with your bill that told you what to do if you didn't like the changes (cancel your card), you agreed to the changes. I don't think there are many cards with 25 day graces periods. Most cards barely have three weeks from end of billing cycle to payment due date.

If you really want a different credit card, go to the library, flip through the financial magazines, most will have plenty of offers that you can call about.
