Well, there is a laptop in the family room, but that's it. And only 2 of those 4 are in active use. I need to destroy the hard drive of the oldest one and get it to a recycler. I'm not quite ready to do that with the next oldest. I should get an external drive and just transfer everything to that so I can ditch that one, too.

Ah, I misunderstood. I'll have to think about that one to see what we'd need to replace the stuff we would actually want to replace.

Our collectibles makes that a hard question. There are lots of things I'd want to replace, but doing so would be a monumental task as we have items dating back to the 1930s. Plus we have a few items that are unique pieces of art that aren't replaceable, so I don't know how to count that kind of stuff.

that's the problem with replacement I have a old family bible, the trunk that came down the Oregon trail ,great grandmothers hope chest made by her father etc... Items that could not really be replaced , even with exact replicas...... so i would not even try to replace them so I guess they have no "real" value and would not require replacement

I guess we would need to replace:
Basement: spare freezer, washer, dryer, several shelving units, treadmill, much glassware and serving pieces for entertaining and extra dishes and cookware used during Passover.

Family room: tv, vcr, dvd, wii, desk, computer, printer, lamp, sofabed, end table, lamps, videos and dvds, toys and games.

Kitchen: microwave, refrigerator, dishes, glassware, cookware, bakeware, table and chairs, water cooler

Sitting room: sofa bed, aquarium and supplies, wall unit, 2 chairs, assorted items on the shelving unit, some artwork and photos hanging on the walls (the stuff that is replaceable).

Living room: That's where all the collectibles are. No idea what we would attempt to replace there. If nothing else, 4 bookcases, 1 glass display case, 1 wall unit, 2 folding tables, a dresser, a video cabinet...

Computer room: computer, printer/scanner, computer desk, software, regular desk, file drawers, desk lamps, bookcases, piano, clothing in closet.

DD's bedroom: furniture set, loft bed, chairs, bookcase, clothing, bed linens, toys, games

Our bedroom: furniture set, bed, laundry basket, cedar chest, clothing, jewelry...

Garage: 3 bikes, ladders, folding tables and chairs, lawn chairs, shelving unit, lawn tools, hedge trimmer, beach chairs, suitcases and loads of other stuff stored in there.

How much would all that be? I haven't got a clue.
