Estimated taxes due June 16

This is the first year I'm paying estimated taxes, and the date totally snuck up on me. I might have missed it entirely if I hadn't gotten a reminder from the library that a book on mutual funds was due this week...which reminded me that my New Year's resolution was to review my investments quarterly...which reminded me that the estimated tax date was supposed to be my review date. It would've been very easy to miss this bill! So here's a reminder to anyone else who pays estimated taxes...

This is my first year paying them as well. Luckily, it's automatically set-up as a reminder in Quicken Home & Business so I was reminded last week. =)

zetta - Welcome to the world of the 1040-ES. What has helped me to remember to pay my estimated taxes on time is each year when I finish my annual tax return, I write down on my calendar the dates when the estimated taxes are due. My memory is bad ... Too many details to keep track of ... My calendar is my lifeline.
