  • Can you have 2 Roth IRA accounts?

Is it possible for someone to put $2500 of their annual Roth IRA contribution at one institution and $2500 of their annual Roth IRA contribution at a different institution?

Yes. You can do that. You can have as many accounts as you'd like as long as your total contribution doesn't exceed the annual limit.

            Great thanks!

I've currently got all of my Roth at TD Ameritrade.
I'm probably going to roll over some of that to a Vanguard index fund I'm interested in at Vanguard directly, since TDA will charge me transaction fees for that fund.
