  • Web based personal finance software?

Does anyone know of a Quicken like product that is completely web based? I do my mom's checkbook, but we are moving to Norther NJ in a few weeks from our current home in South Central PA. While I plan on coming home every few weeks to visit (and update mom's checkbook, while I'm here), I think it might be easier if it was something both she and I could access from 2 points. That way I could plan her cashflow and she can still input her receipts.

    Thanks!

Wow! You guys are fast! Has anyone used any of these sites? While I'm pretty good at figuring how to get things like this to work, I need something simple for my mom...she's in her early 60's and not super good with change. Also, do you have to let them have your passwords and IDs so that they can download or can you do it yourself manually?

        Thanks!

I've used Mvelopes for a little over a year now and love it. You input all your ID/password info into Mvelopes and it automatically retrieves new transactions each day. Then you just have to drag them into the appropriate envelope. They have a list of supported banks on their website, so check to see that the bank your Mom's checking account is at(and any other accounts like credit cards) is supported. If her bank is supported, you could give the 30 day trial a go. Once you get everything set up, have her log on to see if she can manage the interface. If it is too complicated for her, you can always cancel before the trial period.

Skydivingchic, I've had problems trying to connect my chase account to mvelopes. Do you have any advice? I guess I should just call Chase...but grrrr...I know I'll spend all day on the phone.
