    hi all,
i am new to the forum here and have doing some investing research online about my 403b when i came across this site. hoping to get some general info about handling my 403b in these times when the market seems bleak and most of the options i have to invest in have been loosing money. first, i just turned 33 years old and work at a hospital that matches 6% towards my 403b plan. annual income is approx 45k a year and i have approx 20k in my 403b currently and have about another 20k outside this plan in cd's recently givin to me by family. our retirement is handled through eretirement.aul and i have a limited number of choices. i put away 12% currently but hope to put in more coming up. it seems pretty much any of the current investment options through my plan have been loosing significant amounts of money in the last 6months or so...so i put the entire 20k i had in fixed interest for now. i dont change this weekly or anything but if the funds are loosing money from week to week i dont hesitate to move it to something such as fixed interest that is at least staying positive. is my best investment to keep my money in fixed interest funds for the rest of the year..(or as long as this market continues to spiral downward) or look at other options from this list? my choices in my plan are as follows"

It's hard to predict the stock market. If you are in it for the long run, it shouldn't matter too much if it is going down now, as long as you continue to invest on a regular basis. At least that is what I have learned.

I would think about using these funds in addition to some others.

But also you should look for some good ones from which you can make profits initially.
