I am 22 and have one credit card with Bank of America for about a year now. I am never late on payments and I checked my credit and its "Good" probably because I still need to pay back college loans. I am shopping around for another credit card, a good one with rewards. I want to just use one that will help me in return, so I will get the balance of my other one to zero. But this raises a question does cancelling a card with a zero balance give you bad credit or should i just get it to zero and cut it up? I feel like credit is the best kept secret, theres too much heresay on the topic.
Well anyways, can anyone recommend a good rewards card for me? and give me a few pointers on how i can get my credit to excellent (maybe jsut time) even though I always atleast pay the minimum payments?
Ive heard good things about the Amex "Blue" card.
All help is welcome, thanks!
