  • Roth IRA questions

Hello everyone. I have a question about Roth IRA contributions and thus far have had little luck in finding an answer. Ok here is the question.

Can my wife contribute to a Roth IRA bearing the following information:

    1. Her income is under the maximum income contribution limit for a single person.
    2. Her current employer does not offer a retirement plan.
    3. Now that we are married our combined AGI is over the maximum income level for contribution.

If no one knows the answer, would anyone know what type of professional would be able to answer this question?

    Thank you

You don't qualify based on answer given, so change the question.

What can you do to qualify?
        reduce AGI
        Hiow can this be done?
401k, HSA, dependant care other tax deferrals

Another option is contributing to a nondeductible IRA and then converting this to a Roth in 2010. This is a workaround for those with incomes over the limits so it should work for you and your wife.
