We need more information to give an opinion. Was this bad debt that was removed and then showed up on your account again? If it was removed once for legitimate reasons and is showing up again, then you will have to go through the process again to get ti removed.

it wouldn't make sense for it to be removed and then reapear, unless you're getting these credit reports from different companies.

Nothing would surprise me when dealing with credit reports. The entire credit industry seems to be shady at best, descends rapidly to sleazy, and there is no bottom in sight.

Dispute it. It puts the ownership back on the creditor to prove that it hasn't been paid or that it belongs to you. You need to do your best to prove that you paid it. Find the canceled check and get a copy from your bank.

It was bad debt (but disputable in amount) it hasn't reappeared but, im receiving phone calls from debt collectors.
