  • Making extra money

If you had a good friend that needed to make money quickly, what suggestions would you make to them. I have come to the decision that some extra income is needed for us.

Right seasonal help at the stores might be the fastest way.

For how long do you (liveandchi) need the extra income? Are you looking for the next month or for the next two years? How much extra?

We have a debts that are going to take a long time to pay off. I need ideas of ways to earn extra money. Any time length is fine, but we don't have money to invest in something. Right now, any amount is fine.

Dave Ramseys recommends getting a pizza delivery job which he claims is one of the highest paying pt jobs. Most of them earn about $10-12 an hour with tips.

However wiht gas prices it may or may not be worth it.

          Good luck!

Do you have to pay your own gas? or do your get reimbursed? I will have to see if that is an option.

...I have a friend that "dogsits" when people are on vacation...basically, she goes to the owners houses, feeds and walks the dogs...gives them a bath if needed....not sure how much she charges, but it seems she's actually making a living out of it...and there's no initial investment...

I guess you would need to check out the local pizza places to see what they offer. I have never delivered pizza so no idea.

One idea might be to post some signs at the grocery store and other local spots offering to do some "unappealing jobs" for $15 or $20 an hour. I would gladly pay that for someone to tackle my basement or garage or wash windows. If you had a 2 or 3 hour minimum, that would add up quickly. At $15 an hour, 3 hours a day ($45), that would be $225 a week or $900 a month extra cash.
