  • deferred credit card billing?

i phoned one of my in the city credit cards, and a credit specialist, came on the line, talked me into changing to a rewards card, lower rate, and no annual fee...
then he preceded to scold me, about being a preferred customer using humor, and told me, i qualified for deferred billing at no cost, until april, 2007... i turned him down politely on this...he said i was a concerned customer and paying the bill quickly, when i can take more time????????
anyone else get this from their credit card company... this is like, the no payment holiday, they used to give out years ago to preferred customers....i think.....

Yes, why would you want to pay off your debt and not givemoney in interest to his company? You can't make stuff like this up. I assume they will send you checks and encourage you to spend more as well!

Very interesting tactics! I would kindly let them know that I would delay all future payments in return for some cash in hand from them.

When a store clerk asks me if I'd like to save 10% today. I always say YES, as long as I don't have to sign up for any credit!!
