I think he's right. Not every method works for every person. General principles the same, but the record keeping could be way different. My family has different ways of budgeting.

That's exactly right! A person who has a strong Money for Fun personality sees money as a way of gaining fun.
This doesn't mean that other people don't want fun. Nearly everyone wants fun. It's just that fun is not the driving force for how they spend their money.
The Financial Personalities are helpful because they show us the drivers behing how we see money.
By the way, does the Personality Budgeting Quiz report explain the details of the different "Financial Personalities" clearly enough or does it need more detail added?
I am surprised that I got 3 for "others". I should have got 0. I am a Scrudge, and I don't like to give anything to anybody except my immediate family, i.e. my kids and dh. I think I got 0 for fun is because I often see it as a waste of money. My fun is saving money, or getting free stuff, so I wouldn't have to spend any money.
