Re: Mortgage question/help?

Then...
Have you looked at many of the things that other folks have talked about on here? My husband said the same thing...there is no extra here to save.
O yes there was, but it was hidden.
Where? In our case, in the telephone bill with all the little extra charges, such as caller id, which phone we were making our long distance calls from. From our car insurance when I raised the deductibles (we have excellent credit so if there had been an accident we could of covered the difference there - but soon we had our EF up to snuff so it could handle that if an accident occured.)
We put the house utilities on average pay so that evened out over the year. No more giant electric bill in January sending me into panic mode. So instead of coming up with 250 in January I come up w/80 a month and all the other months so I don't think in April when the bill is only 35 that I have the difference to poop off somewhere. In addition it's about trying to cut down on useage as well so the average comes down.
Birthday gifts got averaged as well. Instead of buying just what I found that someone might like I decided on what we could afford (not near as much as I had originally thought) and buy to stay within the budget.
Sometimes until the bills got straightened out The Hubster and I put off our 'routine maitenance' on our teeth. Never the kids though.
There are more examples that I can't think of at the moment. Others here have experienced the same belt tightening and can possibly give some other suggestions.
