many of the poor uneducated folk who buy those things think it's better to buy 20 $1 tickets. They don't realise that the odds are better on the $20 ticket.....but that mentality looks at it like i'm only getting one ticket. I'm saying alot of them are like that...not everyone.

I will buy $5 - $10 worth of scratchers once a year, at Christmastime. DH buys Lotto tickets occasionally. We go to Reno a couple times a year, but we have family and friends there so we go to visit them primarily. We gamble some too but we set a limit. When our money's gone, so are we. We look at it as entertainment. Woohoo, me the big gambler, playing the penny and nickel slots LOL

No I do not. I have bought a few tickets many years ago but in total not $5.00. It is gambling and I rarely gamble. If I do gamble I set a limit and when it is gone, I stop.l Lottery tickets are not as much fun as slots and black jack so I am rarely tempted.

A co-worker stopped by earlier to see if I wanted to pay a buck and join in on the company power lottery. I declined.

I think he might have been slightly offended... well, maybe not. I'm not sure.

Either way, I refuse to pay.
