When transfering between OSA and checking do you round?

I usually round down to the nearest $25--keep a little extra money in my account that way!

Rounding down is very smart. I will try that too.

I record exact amounts. I also balance my checkbook monthly to the penny. I want to know exactly what I have and where it is. Wouldn't do it any other way.

I am assuming you mean rounded deposits, not like rounded book keeping?

We round to the nearest 5$ I guess, I picked 25, but that is for our money, we only go to nearest 5 for the kids..call it our contribution to the savings fund.

i do this for checking: round deposits down and round checks/bills up to the nearest dollar. all extra at the end of the month gets deposited into savings, so that i am running a zero balance monthly budget.

I, too, run a zero-balance monthly budget but I do not round for transfers or otherwise.

Most definitley. I tend to round everything - accountants don't waste time with pennies.

For big transfers I round to the 100s, for rarer smaller ones, I round to the $5 at the least.

My checking account generally runs 0, regardless of rounding.

I actually bookkeep down to the penny, but overall don't see anything wrong in the least with rounding on bookkeeping. It is common among accountants. Saves time, same end result.
