Yeah, I used to listen to him for a while ... I eventually got bored with the repetitive nature of everything he said. Also annoyed by the constant pushing of his various programs & products. His thinly-veiled politics seemed inappropriate for the show. Investment advice, I mostly just ignored. But for motivating people to get out of debt? He's the king. It has clearly worked for thousands and thousands of people. I do also appreciate his efforts to push financial education into schools, albeit his branded materials.
I think the bottom line here is that people don't like being told to do something that's uncomfortable or challenging. Being told that they're wrong or making mistakes. Getting viewpoints that differ from their own narrow opinions.
