Fed Expected to hold rates steady while keeping the door open to future hikes

Makes sense. The Fed is walking a tightwire act as they try to bring inflation down without crippling growth. Personal completely uninformed guess: Going forward through the next year of Fed rate decisions, they'll probably raise the rate, then wait 1-2 cycles, raise it again, wait, raise, etc. They want to tick the inflation rate down slowly. Forcing a sudden change would be negatively disruptive.
