• Weight Loss Scams Cost Money

There is big money in weight loss products. The weight loss industry is estimated at $35 billion, but there are also a lot of weight loss scams floating around simply waiting to part you from your money and they continue to flourish. Why? One of the main problems is that people want instant results and people continue to be willing to try products that claim they can provide this instant gratification. In fact, claims of instant results is one of the first clues that the product is a scam. Here are some other hints to help spot a weight loss scam and save yourself money:

Claims to be a "secret" formula

There's no physical address for the business

They promise rapid weight loss

They state that they can help a person lose fat or cellulite in a specific part of the body

They promise permanent weight loss

Similar to your personal finances, there is no miracle fix when it comes to weight loss. You need to address the reasons and current actions (habits)that have caused you to put on weight just as you need to address the habits that have caused personal finances problems. Educate yourself and avoid falling for weight loss scams because the only thing you'll be losing is your hard earned money.

So true, as soon as someone claims you can get instant results your red flags should go up. The same can be said for all those anti-wrinkle creams that cost so much, and have caused so many people to spend fortunes on something that has never been proven to work.

A $35 Billion dollar industry, yet America keeps getting fatter and fatter. Go figure. Losing weight is free. Just don't eat so much and get off the couch and do something physical. Problem solved.
