    Hiring is exploding in the one corner of the U.S. economy where few want to be hired: Temporary work.

    From Wal-Mart to General Motors to PepsiCo, companies are increasingly turning to temps and to a much larger universe of freelancers, contract workers and consultants. Combined, these workers number nearly 17 million people who have only tenuous ties to the companies that pay them — about 12 percent of everyone with a job.

    Companies can avoid tons of red tape and government rules and regulations by hiring temp workers. We do it where I work for different projects all the time.

      There was a report in TIME magazine about this too.

      * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
      * There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

        Unfortunately, Me myself one of those who the article is talking about. temp hiring is really a serious problem which could lead to a great damage to community if not handled properly.
