Is College Worth It?

I think that often, liberal arts degrees are basically worthless. True, you can't get some jobs without "a degree"...but there are SO, SO many graduates, myself included, who NEVER use their liberal arts degrees.
My sister didn't even have a MAJOR, she just took enough classes to get a blanket liberal arts degree. She didn't know what she wanted to "do" but just thought you had to go to college. And you know what? She did this in 3 years and graduated valedictorian of a state university. And now works in shipping. How worthless, then, was all of that hard work, all of those loans, and she has a job that doesn't require a college degree. And a basically useless education, since she had no focus whatsoever in the content of her studies.
The university doesn't care - they collected their thousands for her privilege of attending their classes. What does it matter to them if she ever uses the "education" they gave her?
