    Supermarkets including Cincinnati-based Kroger Co. and Bentonville, Ark.-based Wal-Mart Stores Inc. are changing their policies, such as limiting the number of coupons that can be used in one transaction and shortening expiration dates.

    Kroger said it is enforcing regulations so all customers can have a good shopping experience — without losing entire shelves of merchandise to extreme couponers who stack promotions to buy, for example, 100 cans of tomato sauce for almost nothing...

    Stores around here starting limiting items a long time ago. Also many of the coupons in the Sunday papers now say limit of 4 like items per transaction, which also puts a ding on the extreme coupon thing. However, a lot of them get around it by going thru the line more than once, or splitting up their purchases between having several family members check out.

      Breaking up your transaction into several smaller ones in order to get past a limit is unethical. What do you think?
