I've often wondered how executives worth literally billions of dollars say they can't afford to do something. Production in the US is undoubtedly a great deal more expensive than other countries. But is it prohibitively expensive or just expensive enough that top personnel won't receive the salaries they think they're worth?

My guess is that it's just expensive enough to make the shareholders unhappy with the company's stock performance.
