I got 'em beat. My old pickup is 14 yrs. old and still going strong. It would actually feel like parting with a reliable old friend when it does finally have to go.

"Average car in US 11.1 years old"

      I'm above average.

My car is a 1998 model, so it hit the road in 1997 and will be 15 years old this year. I will hit 150K miles any day now.

1994 and holding strong! Well, maybe not strong, but running without any apparent problems, though I have to admit that we're looking around for the day the grim reaper takes over.

I have definitely been noticing. We keep our cars forever, but for the first time I am noticing that other people are not buying cars near as much as they used to. Other people actually have cars that are older than ours!! (Besides family and those on this forum, anyway. Noticing older cars around town more where for a while we mostly saw new new new everywhere).
