Yeah, reading the article, clearly places you would not want to live anyway. Ugh.
On the flip side, sign me up for an investment property. That is pretty amazing.
I noticed very recently prices have slid to about 2001 levels (rather quickly) - and that was precisely when we left because the whole area was WAY insane expensive. (So overall, yeah, way too pricey for my blood). But the slew of foreclosures certainly creates more bargains. I am sure there will be much more to come. Just about everyone we know who bought there in the last decade is on the brink of foreclosure. I'd wait a couple of years. There may be desirable places going that cheap if you can time it right.
