You have to provide an exact web address for anything you want to include. What I did was right click the charts i wanted, select properties, then in that page it will list the exact address. copy/paste.

We do automatic monthly transfers for our savings - it works out well because the amounts are added into the "fixed expenses" portion of our budget - in other words they're not negotiable. If the money wasn't allocated that way, it would be wasted away on little misc. purchases.

I just wish we could afford to put aside more, because it seems to take so long to save anything, lol

My parents weren't totally adults during the depression...they were in their teens...but they were savers and did without stuff until they could afford it. I think my mindset is a lot like theirs since I hate throwing things away, wasting things, and try to live below our means. The depression made a big impact on my parents who in turn, made one on me.

Isn't that the truth! No matter how much I put away, it seems so far away from what I'll want/need for anything in the future.

I actually think this is one reason people don't save. People reason that by the time they've saved up enough money for (whatever), it will be out of style/out-dated/no longer needed/etc. So they just buy it now, whether with cash or on credit. Not to say this is a good line of thinking, simply that it is prevalent.....

I was raised by my grandparents who were adults during the depression....I learned a lot from gram!!

I think that is why I have a larger need to save than the average joe.

There's really no choice - and it's a good one.
