    Pretty interesting article. I'm kind of a squeamish person so I couldn't do it myself!

      The mention of the young man happily eating the unwashed strawberry does concern me. I hope they normally wash their food even if they did not get it from a dumpster. Probably he was just showing off his confidence in the food for the reporter.

      I like it that they have the support of their neighbors to get a variance from the city to keep chickens. Recently I heard a rooster crow in my neighborhood and had to smile and wonder who it was. The sound came from the direction of the printing factory. ???

      I wonder where people find enough unlocked dumpsters. Around here grocery store dumpsters are locked.

      I'll have to ask my college son how much he spends per week on food. These guys say they spend about $10 each.
