    CBS4 anchors Jim Benemann and Molly Hughes found out for themselves how easy it is to use someone else's credit card after trading cards and heading to stores in a Denver area shopping center.

    Last week my husbands cards magnetic strip finally gave out, so needing the store he asked me for mine...I suggested he didn't look like a princess...apparently it would work anyway!

    Though in truth I had no desire to find out by having some clerk call the cops or who knows what they are supposed to do.....

      Not surprising. I remember a story posted here a while back about a guy who did this, but took it a step further. If I remember correctly, he would write things like "I stole this card" or draw obscene pictures on the cc slip - never had a problem with a purchase though.

      I have written "Ask for i.d." on the back of my cards. I'd say I get asked maybe 30-40% of the time (of course, sometimes I just swipe it and put it back in my purse - even when a sign asks you to keep your card out, the cashiers hardly ever ask for it.)
