Another great money-saving idea is to go by the floral shop at Kroger and pick up some of the blank sympathy cards that go in floral arrangements. Whenever someone you know dies just fill one out and discreetly exchange it with another card on a floral arrangement already at the funeral home. It’s a victimless crime. Morbid? Yes. But this column is about saving money, not being compassionate.
