For those who like to solve puzzles, there is $1 million in jewels waiting for you in highly public places across the US. The 12 jewels are all in the form of characters from the book A Treasure Trove, a self published book by Michael Stadther.
Stadther hid a dozen 18-karat gold coins in public places across the US that are easy to access. There is no need to dig, move objects or break into enclosed areas to find the coins. To find the coins, you must decipher the clues given in the book. If you find the gold coin, you get one of the jewel encrusted characters from the book. To date, nobody has found one.
Stadther released the clue "Tackle Repositories" this week, the first additional clue to be given that is not contained within the book itself.

The story is a fairy tale journey about 12 forest creatures who employ a woodcarver, his wife and their pet to save their friends who have vanished after being crystallized by a falling dust. In addition to the original fairy tale, a companion book - 100 Puzzles, Clues, Maps, Tantalizing Tales and Stories of Real Treasure has also been published.
