I beleive it. I do almost all my shopping at Wally World. Their prices are consistantly lower than everywhere else.

      I don't save a dime at Wal-Mart, but that's because I don't spend a dime there.
I'm proud to say that I have been Wal-Mart free for exactly two years. I won't step foot in a Wal-Mart.

Interesting! But I still would have a hard time walking away from their low, low prices.

I've read/watched a lot about Walmart. But, ultimately, I don't shop there too often because of the absolutely POOR customer service and disgusting store. Our store is always dirty, always disorganized and always super busy.

I got so sick of cashiers at walmart, that I only use self checkout. The last time I had to go to a cashier was when I stopped in at 11:45 to get something. Apparently, they close the self checkouts at midnight. But, they chose to close them early. They went down to only one cashier in a matter of minutes. There were 20 of us in one line. I waited in line forever. I would have been better off spending the extra $.50 and going to a gas station.

I know they have cheaper prices, but I just can't shop at ours on a regular basis. It's just not worth it.

That being said, I know that the location of a walmart definitely affects its quality. There is one about 10 miles away and it is MUCH better. I'll go there when I want to actually shop for a lot of things. Walmarts in small towns are usually better than those in big cities.

The one that I go to, is only a couple of years old, very clean, never crowded and has friendly people working there. I guess that is not the norm??

my local one is clean and the clerks are nice. Actually I've never seen a dirty Walmart and I've lived in WA, MA, OR, FL and CA. I believe they do save you that much, especially now that we've got baby on board no one beats their prices on formula, wipes and diapers....

I avoid WM as much as I can due to a few reasons. I'm no fan of theirs because of their practice of having dozens of registers and 4-6 cashiers working them with ridiculous waits in line. Even the self serve registers have lines so long it's a 20 minute wait to get out of there. I don't have the patience to stand there that long after gathering what I needed quickly.

Super WM is the biggie in my subdivision, but I wish we had a Super Target instead!

Mine also. I shop there because it saves me the most. I know some people despise WM, but when U can find things like yogurt for .29 cheaper, etc.
                        that's where I'll go.

I try to minimize my shopping there to once every month or two. I usually only go to stock up on diapers, then will get a few other things while there. I can consistently beat their prices by shopping at my local bulk/damaged goods store, so I don't find the food prices to be a big draw.

We also have lousy customer service, but I just see that as the trade-off for lower prices. There has to be something lost when something is gained, usually.

I have to admit, when I'm in that area of town, I shop there. I don't like their business practices but... my budget only allows for so much of what I call "ethical shopping". I find they're like any other store, some things are less expensive while some things are more. The sales at actual grocery stores tend to be far better - WalMart doesn't do sales well at all.

Our local store is as clean, friendly, whatnot as any of the other stores in the area with the worst here easily being KMart.

It is one stop shopping for me, because Walamrt will match anyone elses prices. I just make a list of the deals at other stores and price match at Walmart. Saves me the effort and gas that I would use running around to the other stores for their sale prices.
