    If so, you're not alone. After adjusting for inflation, the average U.S. income still hasn't recovered from 2000.

    2005 Incomes, on Average, Still Below 2000 Peak

    Well since I have joined this forum, I have been saving a lot more. We are self employed, so our income has risen slightly.

      Yes, most definitely.
      2000 income: $80K gross
      2005 income: about $54K
      2007: projected about $59K

      I'm earning less, so am spending less.

        unfortunately, im spending more and making more.... not less here.

          Doing alot of on-line surveys. Pays me about $300.00-$400.00 per month.

              Why is it so unbelievable? I have been at the survey thingy for a long time and know which sites work and which don't. It is like a part time job for me.
              I don't have to be away from my kids and I can still make some extra money.
