Talk about down-sizing! One woman is living in a house that you really have to see to believe.

"It's 84 square feet, so roughly the size of a parking spot. Actually, smaller than a parking spot," says Dee Williams, who decided it was time to move. She was living in a 1,500-square foot home in Portland, but decided the house wasn't small enough - yes, small enough!

Wow, that is small! I would've like to see more photos of her place, because that isn't much room there.... I'm loving her heating bill though. Hmmm!

There is a video news story attached if you want to see more. It's an interesting story for sure. I was wondering if she has a bathroom- yup, but there sure isn't a whole lot of privacy. I'm guessing she doesn't invite a lot of people over!

looking at some of the floor plans because of the built in shelving and such it might be better planned than the whole 'throw more Sq foot at it' plans....and they are cute!

But....I would have to convince my husband to ditch a LOT of stuff.....

i actually have a huge complaint about 2K sq ft houses with hardly any room to breath or entertain..due to too many rooms. All those walls take up space, and funky corners or goofy mini walls that couldn't fit a bookcase...a pure waste of space.

Not that I have any intentions of downsizing any time soon. 1100 is not to bad..My only request is for a nursery...oh and a better designed living room.

I'm slightly claustophobic so I would have to be outside alot. Different strokes for different folks. If she can handle it, the more power to her. She found a way to live a smpler life and to bring her expenses down.

While I don't mind small indoor spaces, I love expansive and yet intimate outdoor living spaces.

I think having the skylight in the bedroom would help an awful lot with claustrophobia, since it's on the angle of the roof. But I didn't see a shower either.

You know, if I were on my own, I think I would be happy in something twice that size, so it could fit a bathtub in it and one nice easy chair. So the heating bill would double to $12, big whoop. Unless of course, you got a standalone wood stove, then with free wood, you would have no heat bill, just power.
