Interesting article and I learned a new word, "freegan.""There is some ontological doubt as to whether it may even be possible in principle to nail down these things in the universe we're given to study." --text msg from my kid

Very interesting...
I knew there was a movement towards recycling, and I have become increasingly devoted to less buying / more recycling / craigs list / freecycle over the past 2 years but I had no idea there were groups of them like this! I admire those who can do that.

I was intrigued enough by this article to check out the Website...but now I think it's a neat concept taken WAY too far (IMO - no offense intended to anyone). Squatting? Hitchhiking? Voluntary unemployment? I totally agree with recycling goods, using things that would otherwise be thrown away, and minimizing waste...but I have to think there is something hypocritical about shunning all transportation, but allowing hitchhiking because the someone else was already driving the car anyway (isn't that the same as public transportation, which I didn't see mentioned anywhere as acceptable), or slamming ALL corporations (which they do on the Website) but allowing the use of any good produced by the corporation, as long as it wasn't bought...just seems hypotcritical that they don't approve of what the corporations do, but are still willing to use their products. Anyway, interesting article and concept. Definitely not for everyone.
