So you want to keep cash at your home, but want to find a safe and secure place where no burglar will look. While a bit disgusting, my bet is it works and you wouldn't get a thief to touch it with a 10 foot pole...and if the goal is to keep the money away from the thief, then it seem to be a fairly good idea.
