    Forbes Magazine has released their list of the top 400 richest Americans and for the first time, you need to be worth at least $1 billion to make the list. Last year you could still make the list if you had $900 million and it only took $750 million to make the list in 2004.

      Don't worry Warren! Us Buffet-heads still love you more than Bill!

      Wow. I didn't realize the Walton family dominated the list though. Amazing.

      I've also heard of Paul Allen and Michael Dell.

      Sheldon Adelson is a new one to me, but then, I've never been to Vegas (yet).

        Was Warren Buffetts worth figured before or after he gave half to Bill Gates charities? It was half wasnt it?
        Also, can someone tell me who #3, 4, & 5 are.

          four of the top ten are waltons? as in wal-mart waltons? glad i don't shop their anymore...

              Larry Ellison is the CEO of Oracle:


              Paul Allen is Bill Gates' buddy and cofounder of Microsoft:
              Yearly rankings of the best employers in the United States, Canada as well as for women, diversity, recent grads and beyond.


              As for Buffet, the latest at http://www.forbes.com/lists/2006/10/C0R3.html lists his net worth at "only" 42 billion.
