  • Titles Count!

When you are creating posts, your titles really do count. This site gets spidered (programs that look for new content for the search engines) really well so your blog posts will show up well in the search engines. here7s an example:

bottles vs breast - as you can see, this post is currently #2 out of over 2 million.

A Great Freebie is currently number 4 out of over 4.5 million

When you make a post, spend a few seconds thinking what someone would likely search for if they wanted to find what you're writing about with the more specific you can be, the more people looking for information on that will find it. Just a little hint for those that would like to see more people visit their blogs.

I do think about it, but I still end up with fairly bland ones. Chaulk it up to the "lack of imagination" dept. I'll try to keep that in mind for the future.

The above have changed a bit because we changed the URLs on the blogs a few weeks back, but the concept is the same. Your titles do make a difference to how they get placed into search engines and how many people end up visiting you blog.

So how do you make a good title? is just finding hot words important, or does phrasing count?

            Re: Titles Count!

The easiest way to make a good title? If you were searching for information on the subject you are writing about, what search words would you input into the search engine? There's your title.
