Thsnks Joe. I know it won't always be this much money each week cause it takes months to get the change jar full, but it keeps you hopping trying to come up with extra money.

I talked my husband into taking a fixer upper job for an old customer and I got the check today. It was for $194.00 so I have cashed it and am adding that to my stash. I have already put the other money in my interest paying account so it will earn interest, but I am keeping track of my challenge money on paper.

Well, I did not come up with anyway to add to my challenge money today, but I did remember that the old slot machine out in the garage has a box of nickels in the back of it. So I brought them in and dumped them in my change jar. There must have been a few dollars worth in the box.

I stayed home from town today , thereby saving $1 in gas money. I got my ING statment and I got $9.22 in interest for the quarter, for a total of $10,22 today.

I just did my grocery shopping and with my advantage card, I saved $6.42. I also was supposed to meet with a group for lunch, but because it snowed, it got cancelled. I would have spent at least $5 ($3 for a burger and $2 for a tip), so I am adding that to my total, for a grand total of $11.42. I am putting that in with my challange money.

Just got back from grocery shopping. Porterhouse steaks were on sale and with my store card, I saved $5.22.

Today was payday and I have put all the money away in the envelopes. Even after saving my 10%, I have $60 left, so I am adding that to my challange money.

I saved $12 today by not buying something that I buy every week on my trip to the liquor store, plus my husband found a quarter on the floor of the restaurant.

I didn't know what to do today, but my electric bill came. I had alloted $260 in my electric bill account, but my bill was only $100, so I am putting the other $160 in my challenge account.

Had to buy prilosec last night for dh. With my advantage card, I got $2 off, plus I had a coupon for $2 off, so I saved $4. I stay home all day yesterday so that saved $1 in gas money for a total of $5 added to my challenge money.

Thanks Joesbaby. Having the budget envelopes that I have always used, seems to have helped my challenge a lot. What ever I have left over in the envelope, now goes to the challenge fund.

i saved $4.42 at the grocery store and 20 cents by making copies at the library instead of Ingles. I really comparison shopped today at Ingles. I added the $4.61 to my challenge money.
