I've been lurking around these threads and have decided to start my own 20.00 Challenge with my daughter (the cuteness factor is a guaranteed sale in my opinion lol)
I found an old bead kit in the basement which i'd purchased at a yard sale sometime ago. My objective is to make pretty bracelets/jewelry with my daughter during the week then sell the creations on the weekends. I have locations picked out.. it's just the kid persistence factor that may be a bit difficult.
This challenge couldn't come at a better time considering my daughter is learning about personal finance in school. They are trying to instill the ideal of savings in the youngsters early on- finally something good comes from the expensive tuition!
Since I have the merchandise already, I am going to give my daughter the following to pursue her business goals:
1. A notebook (to record purchases and cash)
2. A lockbox with 20.00 in change
3. A box of ziplock snack bags to place her creations.
I'll update the challenge next sunday! Wish me luck!
