    Re: The kid version

grown up side= We used the CVS thing to get a 25$ gift cert for a script finally, it was store cred of course, but we bought what we needed, some medicine and a toothbrush and umm can't remember, but I traded my loot for the stuff so we can put the loot in the challenge fund.

On the one hand I am going depressingly slow, on the other hand I am saving/earning more than I would if I hadn't started.

Oh and on the toy sale, DS started getting sick, so no way I was going to let him stay outside and all that , not to mention share hsi germs. Maybe next month .

      Re: The kid version

      Been awhile aint it!

DH has been trying to talk me into getting a box of cards to a game he likes so that he can sell them at a profit, and keep a couple to boot. I finally agreed if he presells some, which he did so we will be buying them, prolly today. but we are still debating amounts and such (since most of the players we know are freinds and we arn't going to be making a profit on them) will prolly finalize tonight and post tommorrow the cost.

Also I got the meat check in it was a rebate that I didn't believe would come in, well it did!
20$ I never would have wasted the time on if it wern't for the challenge, sheesh sounds a bit silly now with 20$ in my hands and less than 5 minutes of time spent on it!

Good job, keep it up! $20 to over $140 is a good start.

          Re: The kid version

Oops all gone! but some should come back.. I hope.

We bought the cards to a sum total of 146.25 (ok like 17 but I am a lazy book keeper)
          so we are at -5$.

I am not sure how to record the fact that we needed some of the cards for Christmas presents, more than will leave us with a profit, but it is making christmas cheaper. Anyway as the 'real money' from other people comes in to hopefully bring us back up to posotive (and hopefully make back all the loot we spent) I will keep debating that part.

DH also wants to hold a tournament, closed pack, whch would end up with an afternoon of fun for him a couple packs and some loot. Only trouble is he can't do it here (can't concentrate with a couple kids running around!) so we have to figure out where he can do it, if he can do it..... If I even want to give up my DH for an afternoon the month I am due!

          Prev Total = 141.25
          New Total = [color=red]5[/red]

Anyone know why that isn't red?

            Re: The kid version

Maybe don't count the cards you are going to use as gifts as part of the money you spent, only the ones you are going to resell?

              Re: The kid version

ok so if I don't count the ones we are keeping, then it cost us 107.25 which makes our challenge total 34, plus we have 21.50 in sold stuff already so back up again to 55.5, plus we have half the box 'pre promised' just waiting on loot and then 10.50 for 3 packs owed loot. Which would bring us back to 121, and have 12 packs left to sell.

And best news I don't have to figure out how to make the number red anymore

              Prev Total = 141.25 (sortof)
              New Total = 55.5

urg, did the math wrong and have been avoiding trying to figure it out right since then .

funny how something that would take me 5 minutes is keeping me from posting!

when I get the math fixed I need to add 55 for the half box and 10.50 for the owed loot. (with 10.50 still waiting on)

Fear of the unknown is stopping me from putting a couple books on half.com too, really fear might be the difference between a millioneir and a barely making it!

BTW DH got his first rejection letter for a story, which means he actually submitted a story, so sortof a good thing. and I think he only sent it in cause of this challenge.
