Comment Posting problem

I'm having a comment posting problem - I think this is the scenario:

1) Open another poster's blog in a new window
2) Read entry, write comments
3) Decide not to post comments, close window
4) Later, come back to same blog. Decide to post comments to the same or a different entry.
5) Write comments. When I hit the submit (or is it add? can't remember what is on the button) I get the error message "If you want to be notified of additional comments, you will need to enter your email address"
6) My email address was prefilled on the screen, but I tried to space it out and re-enter. Still got the same message.

Nate - sorry to be so late in getting back to you.

I'm still having this problem. I have been careful not to type in comments, then close the window without posting though.

I still can't comment on Monkey Mama's blog (sorry Monkey Mama!) and there is one other I did this with I think.

Strange.

The blogs have two ways of entering comments. One where you log in first and one where you just fill in the blanks manually (including the verification word, "six").

I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

Petunia, I made a small change that may have fixed it. Let me know if you notice the problem has gone away. In either case, also please tell me what browser type/version and operating system you are using.
