Thought that might be it. I am not continually on this site, and when I'm off the telltale goes black. My normal routine is to log on a couple of times a day (depending on what else may occupy my whirlwind schedule), check the new postings and blog entries, and then move on.

Thanks for the suggestion, though. I'm open to any possibilities.

Bookie, its probably a bug. What browser are you using?

I'm using Firefox v. 1.5.0.7. No problem editing in the other two forums I do frequent.

It's not a problem for me. I was just curious that the feature didn't work as I expected. No big deal.

It's probably not the browser... because I'm using the exact same version and I don't have that problem.

Bookie, can you do me a favor? It should be really quick. Next time you post a comment try to edit it (you dont have to really edit it just click the edit link) but before you hit the 'Update' button do this:

              1) click on 'Tools' -> 'Javascript Console' at the top of Firefox (it will open up a window)
              2) push the 'Clear' button in this window
              3) go back to the web page and go ahead and hit the Update button.
              4) go back to the other window and see if it shows any errors. If it does please copy and post it here. You should be able to right click the errors and click copy.

Would really appreciate that, I'd like to get this feature working for everybody.

Actually, I just made a change that may of fixed it. So hopefully it works and you don't have to go through all those steps.

Tried another edit. The edit window now closes when the update button is clicked. But . . . no edit. Here's the Javascript Console report:

Error: Error in parsing value for property 'border-top'. Declaration dropped.

Thanks Bookie, I think its fixed now.

Also for everybody, just a note, only people who are logged in when they comment can edit their own comments. So just keep that in mind. (Need to do that so we can make sure only the original author is editing their comment, not someone else).

Working great for me, Nate! The edit box closes now once I hit update.
