Stock commissions in a Roth.

If you buy stocks in a Roth IRA, does the commission charge for purchasing the stock count towards the $4000 limit?

Unfortunately, yes. Brokerage commissions must be applied to the $4,000 limit.

However, annual maintenance fees and "wrap fees" may be exempt from the limit.
