You might be trying to catch a falling knife.
I invested in BP right after the Deep Water Horizon spill and ended up making out pretty well. Part luck and part knowing that an oil company as large as BP wasn't going anywhere. I don't know enough about Equifax to say the same thing.Brian

Im surprised its only down 27%... I wouldnt touch this stock with a 10' pole. With all the private information out in the wild now, the bad news for Equifax will certainly keep coming, at least before any good news... like they manage to avoid BK. The data is out there waiting to be exploited (or sold). Still have to sit and wait to determine the impact it will have.
I would be interested to see how this affects their credit rating.

Yes. The wanton, reckless management of Equifax is inexcusable. So is concealing the massive breach for many weeks. What else was being hidden?
All responsible, including officers, directors, shareholders, lenders, investors and executives should face, at the least, civil prosecution and asset forfeiture. If felonies were committed, criminal prosecution must also be brought to bear.
Perhaps, someday, I'll express how I really feel.
