I currently have 0% invested in gold/silver etc. I know I probably should have a little bit of my portfolio dedicated to precious metal and I'll eventually diversify into this area.

Bullets are made of lead, steel, and sometimes copper. Precious metals are silver, gold, platinum, and palladium. I prefer hollow points, myself. The good news is that if you only have thousands, there should be plenty of room to store some more. Kids.

I have a sterling silver tray I can use to crack one over the head.

Oh, wait. I do have a sterling silver flatware set. The knife blades are steel, but I can stab them to death with a fork. Maybe gouge out their eyes with the spoons.

I think I have like 30-50 oz of silver (rounds & bars) mostly. I buy it very erratically. I would like some more, but have decided to attack debt more aggressively for now. maybe after house + cars are paid off.
