Ravi, I've owned gold on and off for about a decade. I've found that physical gold tends to trade at a bit of a higher spot price than digital quotes for gold on Kitco. Its also been my experience that the the price for physical gold and digital gold tend to track each other pretty well. I haven't heard, or read of anyone doing price arbitrage on physical versus digital quotes for the price.

I think your best bet with gold is buy and hold.
