Someone told me that Banks and credit unions have the same strict standards these days since the mortgage crisis of 2008.

I am planning to get our own home. I would just like to ask if you know any reputable credit unions you can recommend? TY

Are long as the lender comes up with the cash at closing and takes your payments timely, why do you care? Go with the cheapest loan; chances are your mortgage will get sold anway (where you can't pick the buyer so why bother paying more now)

Hi. It depends on your location. Where are you located at? Yes, both have strict policies but I would still prefer credit union as they have lower interest rates and flexible terms.

mortgage crisis?

I and my family are moving to Napa county this week. Actually, I phoned my aunt who is living in Los Angeles and she told me about mortgage rates in California. Currenlty, I am confused cause I still do not know the pros and cons of my decision. I hope you can help me. TY
