      No secret we

      1) Continue to save, save, and save no matter what the market does.

      2) Continue to follow a monthly budget, save more than we earn.

      3) pay for cash on everything. No credit!

      4) Find time to exercise!!

Yes i complain about the market and rant on some days here.

Overall, I just follow my own principle, live below our means, save, and enjoy healthy living!

Great job. The numbers start growing exponentially going forward thanks to the beauty of compound interest.

        * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
        * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
        * There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

          Definitely!
....it was amazing how the numbers just grow so fast when you do not have to pay anybody else but yourself!

            Congrats!

I too am approaching the 1/2 million mark. Things are definitely accelerating. It's been noticeable the past few years as compound interest works its magic.

I have come across this advice of using more of paper money than plastic money. Is it true that you tend to spend less when you have to pay cash rather than swiping a card?

100% true! There's more pain letting go a real cash.

Unless cash burns a hole in your pocket...

It's probably all about your personality, age, experience, motivations, etc.

I am pretty sure it means he has a half of million dollars worth of marijuana but I am not sure.

What is the age of OP? That says a lot. If you're 75 years old and just hitting $500k that isnt as impressive. If you're 25 and hit $500k you've done something right.

Either way...still a lot of money.
