I was wondering that, too. I'm sure "zero maintenance" can't be true. You still have a motor and transmission and brakes and fluids and tires and windshield wipers and AC/Heat and whatever unique parts and systems come with an electric vehicle so still plenty of things that need to be cared for and repaired or replaced when they fail or wear out.

"less maintenance" might be a better argument. It's still a car that needs car related parts serviced. Most ICE engines nowadays can go 100k or more before a "major service" is required. Heck oil changes are 10k miles or more.

Personally I think Tesla's build quality is below industry average, and it's a niche product for consumers interested in "saving the planet"
