  • Where can I invest?

Each time I try to invest online every site needs me to provide them with a utility bill. I can't do this because everything is in my dads name. Is there any site that would allow me to invest safely without needing this?

    I don't follow.

Why would you need a utility bill to open up an investment account?

Try going to Fidelity or Vanguard. Setting up an account should be fairly straightforward.

      A utility bill? What?

Nah man, seek out an accountant. If you are a young guy living at home with your dad it is an excellent time to be sowing some investment seeds.

Good luck, and invest in growing revenues ;-)

Agree with bjl584, you should set up account and invest in Betterment, Vanguard or Fidelity firms.

Utility bill is like a legal address proof requesting payment for public services. Why do they ask you for this? Yes I agree with annamarie to try real estate business.

                just my input

like others said, you can find ways to do this without the utility bill thing.

and be careful about real estate as well, i mean we are not exactly in the clear with the economy (are we really ever?) and even land can get you in big trouble, especially if you take out a loan, which some people do too.
