please help...what I need to know is it possible to verify funding into a profit sharing annuity that a former employer said he was setting up for me in 1979 thru 1985.i cant reach him but his dental business has gone corporate

Do you have any information at all on the profit-sharing that was supposed to be set up? I would contact the new corporate entity to see if they have any information about it. If not, you may be completely out of luck. Without any documentation that it was actually set up, it's going to be difficult to claim it.
